DESPITE being newbies in the fast-rising sport of CrossFit, Cebu’s Crossfit Subtero put on a surprising performance in the recent Affiliate Alliance Philippines Fittest 2016 held in Manila last month.

The team finished with eight medals and three podium finishes in the competition which was considered as the biggest and most prestigious CrossFit tournament in the country.

“It was our first time to compete there and we never expected that we can win medals from it considering that we went up against the country’s best CrossFit teams,” said Crossfit Subtero head coach Chan Quiambao.

In the scaled division, Stella Moeller snatched the first runner-up spot while Oliver Moeller won the second runner-up plum in the same division.

In the RX division or the elite division, Rachel Limtong placed second runner-up.

The rest of the team’s winning athletes were Chester Lagado (4th), Faye Jimenea (8th), Poloy Acero (9th), Candice Medina (12th) and Kimberly Ecuacion (14th).

Affiliate Alliance Philippines Fittest 2016 in Manila was joined by 26 CrossFit teams from around the country with around 320 CrossFit athletes that competed.
