Hugh  Jackman is undergoing treatment for skin cancer once again.

The actor revealed he has a basal cell carcinoma by posting a picture of the treatment on his Instagram account.

In the picture, the affected area appears to be his nose.

The cancer he is affected by is the most common form, and is rarely fatal.

He also reassured the public that "all is well".

Regardless, he posted a warning to his followers, writing "wear sunscreen".

He said: "Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear! #wearsunscreen".

The Skin Cancer Foundation writes on its website that this kind of cancer is usually caused by a combination of "cumulative and intense, occasional sun exposure".

The Australian actor has been treated for basal cell carcinoma in the past at least four times.

Last year, he posted a picture on Facebook of a similar bandage on his nose.

The 48-year-old had his first skin cancer treatment in 2013.

"Deb [his wife] said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right!," the actor wrote at the time.

"Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"
