Mike's Pastry Opens in Somerville This Week

The Italian bakery will be the first storefront to open as part of Assembly Row's second phase of development.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Here's one for the sweet tooth crowd. Mike's Pastry officially opens at Somerville's Assembly Row this Thursday, kicking off the Row's next phase of development. The iconic Italian bakery will open its doors at 8 a.m. with an inaugural cannoli from co-founder Annette Mercogliano.

Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone will hold an official ribbon cutting that afternoon at 3 p.m.

The opening marks the beginning of Assembly Row's second phase, which will unfold throughout the year and feature new retailers, restaurants, residences, entertainment options and open space. It is the third location for Mike's Pastry, which also has shops in Cambridge and Boston.

Mike's Pastry originated in Boston's North End 55 years ago and is famous for its mouthwatering cannolis, lobster tails and baked goods.

The Somerville bakery is located at 445 Revolution Drive. It will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
