Prior to tonight's game at Dodgers Stadium, Paul Pierce walked onto the field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and heard a smattering of boos from the Dodger faithful. Forget the fact that Pierce calls L.A. his home now after inking a three-year deal with the Clippers earlier this month. The pain and heartache which accumulated from his first 15 seasons with the Lakers' fierce rival, the Celtics, still hasn't gone away yet.
After Pierce's toss bounced into the dirt before reaching the glove of Kenley Jansen, Dodger fans let him hear it.
Clearly, it's going to take a little bit of time for the city to warm up to Pierce.
