A radio host from FLY 92.3 in Albany, New York, got an invite to a wedding. The invitation was traditional in every way and included no snark or humor.
Then there was the RSVP card.
That's where the sarcasm showed up.
If you choose "must decline," there's a space for you to insert your "lame" excuse.
The woman's co-host thinks this is an example of everyone wanting to be funny — or thinking they're funny. We say it's a bit of that, but also the idea that couples, and especially brides-to-be, seem to think their wedding is the ultimate social event of the year.
Mostly, we're curious if anyone had the nerve to write "because weddings are lame" in the must decline section.
