After 32 years working at a Needham McDonald’s french fry station, Freia David was thrown quite the retirement party.

David, who has Down syndrome, was sent off by over 100 fellow employees, customers, friends, and family on Monday after deciding to finally hang up her apron, The Boston Globe reports. She was presented with two cakes, a silver necklace with a McDonald’s french-fry-carton pendant, a collection of collages and cards, and an assortment of her favorite Disney stuffed animals, along with hundred of balloons to form a Minnie Mouse ear archway.

Any customer who came into the restaurant during the party, also recieved a free, small order of fries in her honor.

“I’m speechless,” David’s mother, Annelise, told the Globe. “I expected a party but nothing like this.”

The 52-year-old has been serving customers five days per week at the Chestnut Street fast food restaurant’s fry station since 1984, the Globe reported. David is retiring due to signs of early onset dementia.
