It's been awhile since we've talked about the Lakers in May. They've been complete trash for about five years now and haven't made a playoff run since back in 2011-12 when they advanced to the Western Conference semifinals against the Thunder. It's also been awhile since we've talked about Nick Young, who has more or less disappeared in the wake of the D'Angelo Russell scandal and the story about his fiancée Iggy Azalea threatening to cut his penis off for cheating on her.

But on Tuesday night, Swaggy P was, like most people, watching the Thunder destroy the Warriors for a second straight game in the Western Conference Finals. After it ended, he pointed out that the Warriors' bandwagon must be a sad bunch right now:

The world sad right now

And he also tossed an inexplicable subtweet in the direction of the Warriors when he joked—at least, we hope he was joking—about how Golden State "ain't been the same" since the Lakers somehow managed to blow them out in a game on March 6:

Ain't been the same since the staple center

Not to use Swaggy's own meme against him, but...

People were quick to remind Swaggy that he played on one of the worst Lakers teams of all time this season:

stop talking now. And I'm a die hard Lakers fan. SMH

A really quick fact-check proves that Swaggy is (obviously) not right. The Warriors went 18-3 after losing to the Lakers in March—which we would classify as "being the same" as before the Lakers loss—and then went 8-2 in their first two playoff series of the postseason before falling behind 3-1 to the Thunder. So nice try, Swaggy, but...no. It's nice to see you back in the news, though!
