Just days after dropping his new mixtape, The W, Chief Keef returns with a new track called, "Semi." Actually, it isn't exactly new, but it's just now seeing an authorized release.

The song is produced by Cleveland-based producer TrapMoneyBenny, who told The Fader, "This track was a lost archive from Mansion Musick. I found it on my hard drive one day and wanted to share it with the world.”

"Semi" finds Keef chanting out lyrics about busting his semi-automatic chopper with something of a muddled delivery as some steady flute and mellow percussion float beneath. It's definitely a banger, and Keef's continuously proving we should never expect anything less.

As we said before, Keef's coming off releasing The W mixtape, which marks his third release of 2017. His prolificacy this year proves he's made good on a promise he made when we spoke to him this past spring.

“I’m gonna stop talking about it,” Keef told XXL about his musical plans for the rest of 2017. “I just want to show. I’m gonna get on my beast shit and get to dropping shit on their ass out of nowhere. Just know, you’re gonna see some heat.” We hear he's got at least two more projects in the works for 2017—The Cozart and The Dedication. Plus, he's dropping his joint tape with Fredo Santana in October.
