There are two situations that are guaranteed to make you feel crap about yourself. Number one, sitting in the hairdressers before you have your hair done, wondering why no one told you that you spent the last 6 months looking like an extra from Trolls, and number two, the changing room.

Oh the changing room.

There's nothing quite like walking into a tiny room with 360° mirrors, and seeing for the first time what you look like from every single possible angle.

And then to add insult to injury, approximately zero of your fresh new garms actually fit, despite the fact that you took in two different sizes.

And if that wasn't bad enough, you are forced to explain your reason for not purchasing said ill-fitting clothing to the sales assistant as you leave..."Any good?"

Actually no, NO BLOODY GOOD.

But thankfully one woman has just proved that clothing sizes are total BS with a side by side picture on her Instagram.

Katy from @wodthefork, normally uses her Instagram to share motivational pictures of her health and fitness journey.

But it was her side by side changing room post that really captured peoples attention. Katy tried on two pairs of size 10 jeggings from the same shop and found that while one pair was slightly too big, she couldn't even get the other pair over her hips.

"LOL sizing is SUCH bullshit 😂😂 these are both a size 10 short from express in their low rise leggings. Literally the same store, cut, size, etc. The one was a hair too big and the other didn't even go over my thighs 😂😂 like WHAAAT?! My reason for sharing is...if you ever find yourself in a fitting room ready to burst into tears when something doesn't fit (we've all been there, myself included...millions on times...ask my mom) REMEMBER THIS PIC! There are times I'm a small, times I can't even muscle into a large, times a 10 falls of my hips & times, like this, it doesn't even get past my thighs. Sizing is silly...no one will know if you had to bump up or down because of the cut, style, or likely completely wrong sizing on the store's part. You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number...on the scale or in out clothes."

We could not have said it better ourselves and we will definitely have Katy's words in our heads the next time we head to the changing room.
