The majority of images stemming from the Baltimore riot were filled with anger, violence, fire and fury. But now we're finally getting a glimpse of a different approach from yesterday's protest.

Echoing some iconic photos that have come before it, a picture of a young boy who opted to participate with love has become viral on the Internet, and subsequently, turned into a vision of hope and inspiration during this dire time.

The snapshot, which began making its rounds on Twitter, shows a young black boy offering water bottles to the police officers who were standing guard in full riot gear. Twitter user Gina Geppi came across the picture on Instagram, and reposted on Twitter with the caption, "This kid is the Baltimore I know. This needs more media attention. #PeaceInBaltimore #charmcity."

Aside from providing a refreshing viewpoint to an unfortunate event, this image also proves that there are still plenty of peaceful Baltimoreans on the streets, who also wish to express their concerns about the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray while he was in police custody on April 19.
