Bill Clinton took a less-than-veiled shot at Donald Trump Monday, emphasizing on his first solo campaign appearance that his wife is the only candidate with the “temperament” to be the next president.

“I do not believe in my lifetime anybody has run for this job at a moment of great importance who was better qualified by knowledge, experience, and temperament” than Hillary, the former president said at a New Hampshire rally, placing extra emphasis on “temperament.” (RELATED: MSNBC Blows Chance To Ask Bill Clinton The Question On Everyone’s Mind)

Hillary has what it takes to “do what needs to be done now to restore prosperity,” Bill said, “to deal with these human issues, to make us as safe as possible.” (RELATED: Trump: ‘I Have A Great Temperament’ For The Presidency [VIDEO])

In preparation for Bill’s appearance on the campaign trail, Trump has been relentless in accusing the former president of being “one of the great woman abusers of all time.”

Hillary, the Republican frontrunner has said, served as his “enabler.”
