Lego may have given Big Papi his coolest farewell gift yet.
A life-size Lego statue of Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was unveiled to the real Ortiz at Fenway Park for “Lego Day” on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 statue is made up of almost 35,000 Lego bricks and weighs in at 170 pounds. It took 290 hours to build, according to an ESPN video showing its making.
An additional Lego mosaic of Ortiz with his son, D’Angelo, was also presented to the pair before Wednesday’s game against the Rays.

This isn’t the first unusual tribute to Papi this week.
A corn maze dedicated to him was unveiled at a ceremony Tuesday at Davis Mega Maze in Sterling, Massachusetts.
