Quick Take: Miley Cyrus left Jimmy Kimmel pretty flustered last night after walking out onto his show wearing nothing but pink heart-shaped nipple pasties and a coat draped around her shoulders. Being the father of a 23-year-old daughter of his own, Jimmy didn't know exactly where to look.
Miley tweeted this backstage view of her outfit shortly before walking out:The 22-year-old singer, who will host the VMAs this Sunday, explained that the pasties are mostly all she wears these days. She told a story about wearing them at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and making Sir Paul McCartney nervous, which in turn made her less nervous to talk to him. "It made me very comfortable, because it made him more uncomfortable." That's one way to even out the playing field!

When asked what her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, thinks of her fashion choice, Miley said "He'd rather me have my tits out and be a good person than have a shirt on and be a bitch."
Later in the show, Miley went undercover to ask strangers on the street what they really thought of "Miley Cyrus" and she got answers that ranged from "she's destroying the fabric of America" to "I just like Taylor Swift better." Hopefully that doesn't knock her confidence for hosting the VMAs this weekend. However, something tells us Miley doesn't really care what people think of her.
