A quick spin through the most recent round of men's fashion shows will reveal a common thread: Suits, while not entirely out of favor, are not as popular as they were only a few years ago. That stalwart of men's fashion has lately been replaced by streetwear, athletic-inspired gear, and a whole bevy of much more casual—and very often much more colorful—clothes. But the suit can still be exciting. You just have to think a little outside the box in terms of color, fabric, and pattern. Here are 10 famous guys who are giving traditional tailored clothing a whole new life.

Lately Hiddleston has become the king of the subtly patterned suit. In this case, pin dot is the perfect way to add a little unexpected personality to an otherwise traditional navy.

Another way to add life without going too crazy is with a bold(ish) pinstripe.

Less subtle is a patterned suit in a slightly more adventurous color. Burgundy and dark green are both great ways to break out of the standard suit rut.
