Some six months after stirring the pot with rumors (and some quite telling signs) that their relationship was over, it looks like Instagram couple Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarrez have broken up for good. It all began with Alexis's Twitter feed, which in the past few days have included everything from cryptic messages (“the more you learn the less you know,” “that time you confused a lesson for a soulmate”) to directly telling a fan that she and Jay broke up because “the relationship wasn’t good for his business anymore.”
She also told her fans that she learned “self love, self growth & self trust… stay away from fuckboys,” before dropping this revelation: “He’s got a small dick too.” Some of these tweets (guess which ones!) have since been deleted but as always, the Internet never forgets:
On Wednesday, Jay, who is currently in the Maldives, shared a video that appears to be fact checking his ex’s claims about his bulge (or lack thereof). “I got 99 Problems & this ain’t one babi,” he wrote, along with the hashtag #BeTheBiggerPerson. Watch and speculate, folks:
He also posted this tweet, which fans believe is for Alexis: “Body Shaming is never cool in any gender or situation.. Making someone feel bad about how they naturally are is only showing your weakness.”
Over on Instagram, Jay shared yet another cryptic message and shirtless selfie: “Love is wise while hatred is foolish.. & baby all I’m feeling is the love & sunshine.”
If there's anything I've learned from this experience, it's that I need to take a vacation to a tropical island soon, and also up my Instagram editing skills.
