Congratulations are in order for Michael Sam and his man!
The 25-year-old football player, who made headlines last year when he became the first openly gay player drafted by a team in the National Football League, is engaged, according to TMZ.
While the details of the proposal are still unknown, TMZ reports that Sam is set to wed his college sweetheart Vito Cammisano, who the athlete famously kissed on live television when he was drafted into the NFL.
The site also claims that one of Vito's friends congratulated the couple on Instagram and Michael "liked" the photo.
Sam celebrated his 25th birthday on Wednesday and many reports are speculating that the two got engaged while on vacation in Europe. The New York Post's Page Six also has a source confirming the engagement.
The pair has been posted photos from their vacation on social media, including a super sweet shot taken in Italy.

While Sam has yet to comment on the engagement reports, the athlete did thank his fans for the birthday wishes with a thoughtful Twitter post.

In May, the former Missouri defensive end was selected by the St. Louis Rams as the 249th pick overall in the 2014 NFL draft.
Less than four months later, the team released him during a second and final round of cuts at which point Sam thanked "the entire Rams organization and the entire city of St. Louis" for giving him the "tremendous opportunity."
He later played on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad only to be cut in October, and he is currently a free agent.
"While this is disappointing, I will take the lessons I learned here in Dallas and continue to fight for an opportunity to prove that I can play every Sunday," he wrote on Twitter at the time.
Here's hoping 2015 will continue to be a memorable year for Michael Sam. Congrats, you two!
