Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River NYS boat launches: Which ones are now closed?

Going into the Memorial Day weekend, high waters in Lake Ontario and the upper St. Lawrence River have resulted in the closure or partial closure of a number state-owned boat launches.

Closed launches

*Burnham Point (Cape Vincent in Jefferson County)--" Unsafe, high water. Docks damaged."

*Long Point State Park (Three Mile Bay in Jefferson County) - "Unsafe, high water, submerged access."

*North Sandy Pond (Sandy Creek in Oswego County) -"Boat wakes impacting houses along channel."

*Sandy Creek (Hamlin in Monroe County) - "Unsafe, no docks. Site operated and maintained by DEC on park lands."

*Port Bay South (Wolcott in Wayne County) - "Unsafe, docks have floated off pillars."

*Port Bay West (Huron in Wayne County) - "State Police closed road to launch."

*Grass Point State Park (Alexandria Bay in Jefferson County) - "Boat Launch partially open depending on weather conditions. Call for status. No docking available"

*Cedar Point State Park (Clayton in Jefferson County) - "Boat Launch partially open depending on weather conditions. Call for status. No docking available."

*Kring Point State Park (Redwood in Jefferson County) -"Launch is closed, due to high water and unsafe conditions. Docking available."

*Mexico Point State Park (Mexico in Oswego County) - "Unsafe, high water. Kayak and canoe launching available."

*Pine Grove State Park (Pulaski in Oswego County) - "Unsafe, high water. Kayak and canoe launching available."

*Fair Haven Beach State Park (Fair Haven in Cayuga County) - "Closed to powerboat launching: Unsafe, high water. Kayak and canoe launch available."

*Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park (Irondequoit Bay in Monroe County) - "Launch is closed to powerboats due to high water and unsafe conditions. Kayak, canoe launching available."

*Oak Orchard State Marine Park West (Carlton in Orleans County) *Powerboat launching closed due to high water, debris and unsafe conditions, Kayak and canoe launching still available."

*Oak Orchard State Marine Park East (Carlton in Orleans County) -- *Powerboat launching closed due to high water, debris and unsafe conditions, Kayak and canoe launching still available."

*Golden Hill State Park (Somerset in Niagara County) - "Closed to power boats: Unsafe, high water. Open for kayak and canoe launching."

*Fort Niagara State Park (Youngstown in Niagara County) - "South launch closed due to highwater, unsafe conditions. Kayak and canoe launching still available. North launch still fully open."
