Dell unveils first curved 27in and G-Sync monitors

Dell has announced a couple of new monitors, with one aimed at gamers thanks to the inclusion of Nvidia G-Sync and the other being the company’s first curved 27in model.

The S2716DG is a 27in flat screen with a quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and Nvidia’s flicker and tear-reducing G-Sync technology.

It’s Dell’s first attempt at a G-Sync monitor, which is somewhat surprising given how long the technology has been around.

The monitor will include DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 connections as well as four USB 3.0 ports, USB 3.0 upstream, Audio line-out & Headphone-out.

It will also have a fully adjustable stand, providing users with the ability to alter height, tilt and pivot.

The S271DG will be available from 20th October with an MSRP of $799.99.

If you can’t quite stretch to $800 for a monitor you could always opt for the Dell SE2716H, which offers a more modest set of features but does have a graceful curve to it.

It packs an as yet unspecified resolution – we suspect it will also be quad HD – but only runs at 60Hz plus its stand only offers tilt adjustment.

The Dell SE2716H will be available from the 15th September for $399.99.
