Well...that was fast!

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, who've been dating for less than a year and have only been engaged for a matter of weeks, are getting married tonight, a source has revealed to E! News.

May we reiterate how rather quick this all seems, especially considering how Diaz has been the queen of I-feel-no-need-to-get-married-anytime-soon comments in recent (and not-so-recent) interviews. Then again, it's not as though she ever swore off marriage, either, so...

Here we are.

Sure enough, there's been a rush of activity spotted outside of the gated community in Beverly Hills where Diaz lives, leading us to believe that she and Madden are tying the knot at her home—or at least will be partying there to celebrate their nuptials.

Witnesses tell us that a massive tent has been erected in her backyard, a van from Velvet Garden florists has passed through the gate, chairs and tables have been delivered and security looks tight.

According to a source, Diaz was at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night with pals—a bachelorette dinner, perhaps?

After having been friends for a while, Madden and Diaz first appeared to be a couple back in May. Their relationship seemed to be on the fast track, with Diaz bringing Madden to Florida to meet her family over the 4th of July weekend. The Body Book author has also spent time with Madden's twin brother, Joel Maden, and Joel's wife, Nicole Richie in L.A.

While the expediency of this wedding is going to make people wonder if there's a reason besides soul-mate-caliber love that has the couple speeding toward the altar, Diaz's comments over the years—including an interview she gave to Esquire for its August 2014 issue—have never indicated that she was in any rush to procreate or otherwise settle down.

"I like protecting people, but I was never drawn to being a mother," Diaz told Esquire. "I have it much easier than any of them [people with kids]. That's just what it is. Doesn't mean life isn't sometimes hard. I'm just what I am. I work on what I am. Right now, I think, things are good for me. I've done a lot. And I don't care anymore."

In the May 2014 issue of InStyle, the actress said, "A lot of people chase after it because they've been told, 'This equals happiness.' They chase it, they get it, and they find out, 'Why did I think this was going to make me happy? I'm miserable!' I don't know if anyone is really naturally monogamous. We all have the same instincts as animals. But we live in a society where it's been ingrained in us to do these things."

Regardless of anything Diaz has said either for or against marriage in the past, may it equal nothing but happiness for her and Benji Madden.
