Dido, Noughties singer of hits like Thank You and White Flag, and Jedward, former Eurovision contestants and stars of Sharknado 3, are seemingly up to form one heck of a dream team collaboration.

This unexpected turn of events has come from god knows where, but it’s making us a bit giddy. Think of a mash-up of Lipstick and Thank You. What a time to be alive.

It was semi-announced on the lads’ Twitter when they posted a pic of them with miss Dido herself.

They wrote: ‘We’ve Been Waiting :) @didoofficial GET ON THAT MIC’

Are they in a studio? Or have they bagged a room down at K-Box for a karaoke sesh?

And how have none of them aged a day?!

That tweet is pretty much all the confirmation we have of something going on between the lot, but man do we hope it’s true.

Not a pairing we ever thought we’d see happening, but it’s kind of expect the unexpected with Jedward – who have also previously collaborated with Vanilla Ice on his track Ice Ice Baby. That was a bit of a WTF moment too.

It could be an interesting collaboration giving the different musical styles of the two. There’s this from the Irish lads:

Then let’s compare that with White Flag:

Quite an interesting mix of sounds there.

If they have got something in the pipeline it’ll be Dido’s first release since her Greatest Hits in 2013. Jedward have knocked out tracks like Oh Hell No and Good Vibes, having appeared in X Factor in 2009 and going on to finish 8th in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland.

The boys are also gearing up to celebrate their 25th birthdays with a special gig at the O2 Islington later this year.

Reps for Jedward and Dido have been contacted by Metro.co.uk
