Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com.

Anything about Damon on The Vampire Diaries? — Steph

Now under the control of the mysterious new big bad, Damon finds himself being judge, jury, and executioner when the show returns. “Damon has unfortunately become a little bit of a servant to an evil who has an opinion on what should happen to people who do bad things,” EP Julie Plec teases. “He’s a little bit of a minion at the moment, and we’ll have to learn who he’s a minion for and why.”

Is there any chance that Owen’s sister is actually alive on Grey’s Anatomy? — Kayla

Well, it is Grey’s Anatomy, and they do love a good sibling reveal. Alas, Shonda Rhimes played coy when I asked her. “As for whether or not the sister is dead, I think that’s interesting people think that’s a question, but that’s an interesting question,” she says.

What’s coming up for Thea on Arrow this year? — Candice

Surprisingly? Happiness. “What we’ve done is we made her Oliver’s chief of staff,” EP Marc Guggenheim says, teasing the show will give Thea a chance to establish herself independent of Malcolm. “Perhaps, to her own surprise, she’s actually really, really good at it. All the skills that she learned by watching her mother for all those years, as well as running Verdant, she’s found very transferrable to City Hall, and in many ways, she’s a much better chief of staff than Oliver is a mayor.”

Anything on Tasha’s storyline on Blindspot? — ablindspotter

Off the bat, Zapata won’t be plEased about having to work with JanE again. But moving forward, we’ll get to Know more about the dynamic between Tasha and Reade. “We have a great story for Rob [Brown] and Audrey [Esparza] this year that I can’t get into too much, but it’s very emotional,” EP MaRtin Gero says. “It’s a mystery within a mystery show and there’s a lot of stuff going on between them.”

What’s going on with the rest of the team on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? — Kevin

In short, it’s business as usual when the show returns. “The one thing that you’ll really see across the board with all of our characters is that they’re just in ‘Let’s move mode — let’s just move on from what went down,'” EP Maurissa Tancharoen tells me. “Whether or not that’s just a coping mechanism or denial of all of the trauma that they’ve experienced, I think them being so functional will start to unravel.”

How long will Penny’s family be sticking around on The Big Bang Theory? — Joe

For now, just the premiere, but their arrival will be enlightening. “Penny’s close with her dad,” EP Steve Molaro says. “As we know, her brother Randall has been a bit of trouble over the years, selling drugs and being in and out of jail, and that’s put a lot of stress on her mom. You will pick up on the tensions between her mother and her brother very quickly, and you get a glimpse of Penny and her dad being caught in the middle of that.”

Anything fun on the new season of Chicago Fire? — Robert

How about firefighter fanfic? “Brett and Mouch join up to write this firefighter romance lit, which is its own real genre that Mouch gets wind of,” EP Matt Olmsted says. Unfortunately, “Platt finds out maybe not the way that she would have preferred.”

Hawaii Five-0, of course! — Linda

Would you settle for a super cryptic tease about season 7? “There’s going to be a surprise wedding, but I can’t tell you who it is,” EP Peter Lenkov says. “One of the characters gets married.” Guesses in the comments!

I know it’s early, but what’s coming up on iZombie? — Janie

Here’s a little tease about season 3 to whet your appetite: “Ravi will stumble upon a recipe to make zombie visions more vivid and longer lasting,” EP Rob Thomas says.

Will there be a second season of Dead of Summer? (If so, how!?) — Steff

The show hasn’t officially been renewed yet, but as the EPs recently teased to me, season 2 would take place in 1970, when Deb was at camp. Also, don’t assume that everyone will die in the finale. “It’s just bonkers,” Elizabeth Mitchell teases of the season ender. “It’s a big reunion. We’re all together. I can say that. Not everybody is dead.” So we could see those survivors again should the show continue.

Best news I’ve heard all week: The Just Shoot Me fan inside loves that Wendie Malick will be everywhere this fall.
