If you were watching the Rockets/Thunder game a few minutes ago, then you heard Mark Jackson say this while discussing the D’Angelo Russell situation:

“The good news for (D’Angelo Russell) is that he could very well one day be an Associate Head Coach in this league.” - Mark Jackson

WHAT

— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) April 3, 2016

And like most people, you probably thought, “Wait…what?”

Well, if you want to know why Jackson said what he said, go back and read this 2014 ESPN.com report about how one of Jackson’s former Warriors assistant coaches Darren Erman secretly recorded him, his fellow coaches, and many Golden State players. It eventually got Erman fired, but the thought at the time was that he may have been recording Jackson and his players for someone in the Golden State front office.

Regardless of why he did it, though, it’s clear Jackson hasn’t forgotten about it! Listen to him take a shot at his former assistant in the clip above.
