This Boozy Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Is Our New Summer Obsession

It might not get you drunk, but it will make you swoon.

Boozy ice cream has been kicking around NYC for a while, so, like Dunkin' Donuts ripping off the cronut, Häagen-Dazs jumped on the liquor-infused ice cream trend. The new line, called Häagen-Dazs Spirits, has less than 1% ABV, so they won't get you hammered (or even buzzed), but there is actual booze in them, as opposed to flavors or extracts—and, despite their inability to get me drunk, they sound pretty damn good.

There are five flavors, all of which I want to shove down my gullet immediately: Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie, Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, Irish Cream Coffee & Biscotti, Vodka Key Lime Pie, and Rum Ginger Cookie. One reviewer on the Häagen-Dazs website insists that the Rum Ginger Cookie flavor is, "So good I almost ate an entire tub." Almost? Almost is for babies. I'll take down a whole pint, no chasers.

As of now, the Spirits line is only available in Canada, but if there's a black market for this stuff, I'd like to know about it. In the meantime, it's pretty easy to amp up store-bought ice cream with booze at home, like in this boozy piña colada ice cream recipe. Plus, when you make it at home, it can be as strong as you like.
