E! News confirmed Monday that Meester and husband Adam Brody are expecting a baby together later this year. Two days prior, the pregnant Gossip Girl actress, 29, and The O.C. actor, 35, stepped out for lunch in L.A. The outing marked the first time that the mom-to-be's baby bump had been photographed.
Meester kept it casual, dressing her baby bump in a gray tank top layered underneath a flannel shirt. She completed her laid-back look with black leggings, sunglasses and Under Armour sneakers. Brody, sporting his usual scruff, paired a light blue tee with dark blue jeans and covered his hair with a ball cap.
This will be the first child for the Life Partners co-stars, who got married in 2014.
Meester and Brody have not confirmed the baby news, which isn't too surprising, given that they've said very little about their secret nuptials. Even so, Meester hinted that she would likely be starting a family in 2015 when she spoke to Nylon last year. "Most people I know are starting to get married. It'll be kids next," the actress predicted. "I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs."
During his Reddit AMA last year, Brody joked that he planned to have "twelve" kids. "And I decide." Perhaps he'll change his mind once he's on diaper duty.
