Tree Falls on Police Cruiser Outside Gov. Baker's Home

A tree came crashing down on a state police cruiser outside Gov. Charlie Baker's home Friday night in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

Trooper Robert Sundberg was not injured was not injured when the tree came down around 8:30 p.m., clipping the back of his SUV and going through his rear window.

Gov. Baker was not at home at the time. The trooper was on detail outside of his home.

Sundberg was startled by the incident, as he said working the detail is usually quiet.

The road was closed while the Department of Public Works removed the branch.
