Brynne Huffman is a 39-year-old actress. She live in Frisco, Texas, with her husband of eight years and their two young children. She's also hella gorgeous and curvy, as anyone with eyes can see.
Last week, Brynne was standing in line at the UPS store chatting pleasantly with another customer when, out of nowhere, the woman she was talking to decided to shame Brynne for wearing shorts. "Your hair really is amazing," the woman said, cocking her head to the side. "You should probably rethink the shorts though."
It's possible that woman meant that Brynne should rethink the color or the style or something else completely unrelated to Brynne's size, but Brynne felt confident that the offhanded remark was intended instead to shame her, a self-described plus-size woman, for exposing her skin in this way.
Brynne resisted the urge to pummel the woman, although she did lash out verbally. "You should probably rethink your shirt," she said before turning her back on the woman and continuing to wait in line.
When Brynne finished with her errands, she considered going home to change, but instead of giving in to the woman's rude remarks, she decided to write an impassioned post on Facebook, sharing her experience.
Since then, Brynne's story has gone viral. So far, her post has been shared over 10,000 times and has received thousands of positive comments.
"I hope my daughter will be as strong and smart as you are," wrote Rebecca Carroll. "Be proud of yourself. You are a true role model for women everywhere!"
