In case you hadn't heard, Taylor Swift is not looking for romance right now.

If it finds her, so be it, but the 1989 artist—who is in no danger of not topping the album sales chart when the numbers come out—maintains that she is quite happy with life as it is for her at the moment.

"People will say, let me set you up with someone, and I'm just sitting there saying, ‘That's not what I'm doing. I'm not lonely; I'm not looking.'...They just don't get it," the 24-year-old beauty says in the December issue of British Cosmopolitan, on sale Nov. 4

"I've learnt that just because someone is cute and wants to date you, that's not a reason to sacrifice your independence and allow everyone to say whatever they want about you. I'm not doing that anymore."

Swift's famous exes (or just guys she's dated and then stopped dating, like a normal twentysomething) include Harry Styles (rumored to be the inspiration for "Style" on 1989), John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner.

But as she has been saying as she's made the publicity rounds in honor of her fifth studio album, which dropped with a bang first thing Tuesday morning, the Pennsylvania native turned New York super-fan has no desire to add to her (or really, the world's) list.

"My girlfriends and I talk a lot about feminism and the inequality between the way men and women are talked about," Swift told the magazine. "The kind of things we say are, ‘Why is it mischievous, fun and sexy if a guy has a string of lovers that he's cast aside; loved and left? Yet if a woman dates three or four people in an eight-year period she is a serial dater and it gives some 12-year-old the idea to call her a ‘slut' on the internet?' It's not the same for boys, it just isn't and that's a fact."

She added: "It'd take someone really special for me to undergo the circumstances I have to go through to experience a date. I don't know how I would ever have another person in my world trying to have a relationship with me, or a family. The best answer I can come up with now is ‘go at it alone.' Life can be romantic without having a romance. I'm very attracted to how happy I am now."

Speaking of attractive, Taylor right sizzles on the pages of Cosmo, wearing a shimmering orchid-purple gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline on the cover and modeling both a teeny form-fitting mini dress that shows off her endless legs and a delicate beaded gown that gives the illusion of nakedness.

Move over, Frozen—there's a new Snow Queen in town!

Swift also talked about the upcoming holidays and, if you hadn't already guessed from the cookie-baking and domestic-diva extravaganza that is her Instagram account, she is very particular about Christmas presents.

"We open presents on Christmas Eve. My brother is the worst present wrapper—one year he just wrapped gifts in trash bags," she said of brother Austin. "Mine are perfectly creased and every single present has a special ribbon."

And even though there's still plenty of time to acquire a beau to kiss under the mistletoe, Taylor may be headed into her strongest, most satisfying New Year yet.

She told E! News last week, "I found a place in my life that feels really great and I'm not willing to compromise that for just anyone, and so, you can paraphrase that all you want into something very extreme, but they make what I say extreme no matter what I say...So I'm really happy about the fact that being single doesn't feel like being alone. I have love in my life, I just don't have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now."
