NBC is now holding crisis meetings due to the ongoing backlash from families of Sandy Hook victims that has resulted from an upcoming interview scheduled to appear on “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” this week.
Kelly interviewed Alex Jones of Infowars for the interview set to air this Sunday. Jones, a well-known conspiracy theorist, has repeatedly claimed that the school massacre, during which a shooter killed 20 children and six adults, never happened.

The families of victims are furious with Kelly and the network for interviewing Jones and the reaction has caused panic at the network, Page Six reports.
Since the news of the interview broke and Sandy Hook families spoke against it, sponsors have pulled their support of the NBC show. (RELATED: Megyn Kelly Pulled From Sandy Hook Gala)
“It’s a sh*t show,” an insider told Page Six, adding that the staff were in panicked meetings all day on Monday.
“I find Alex Jones’ suggestion that Sandy Hook was ‘a hoax’ as personally revolting as every other rational person does,” Kelly said, responding to the backlash on Tuesday. “It left me, and many other Americans, asking the very question that prompted this interview: How does Jones, who traffics in these outrageous conspiracy theories, have the respect of the president of the United States and a growing audience of millions?”
As of now, the network still plans to air the interview Sunday night.
