Pack Your Bags: Channing Tatum Is Bringing Magic Mike Live to Las Vegas

Friends, planning a trip to Las Vegas has never been more urgent. Why? Because Magic Mike Live is coming to the Hard Rock Hotel in Sin City with a planned debut of March 2017. This is not a drill. Channing Tatum took to Facebook last night to confirm that the smoking hot movie—based on his own experiences dancing in an all-male revue—is becoming a live show. Tatum revealed, "We’re going to start Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock March 2017. God knows we have enough gentlemen clubs in the world, so let’s start the first gentle-ladies club—or, maybe not so gentle. Depends on what you’re into." Yes.

God knows we have enough gentlemen clubs in the world, so let’s start the first gentle-ladies club—or, maybe not so gentle. Depends on what you’re into." Yes.

Best of all? Tatum wants you, the fans, to have a major say in it: “Leave your comments and let us know what you want and we're going to create it for you." And he means it—if you go on the newly launched magicmikelasvegas.com, there's a quiz that asks some very personal and revealing questions, including: the material that turns you on the most (leather, velvet, fur...), your thoughts on one-night stands, your thoughts on meeting guys on Tinder, Bumble, and the like, what your role-playing fantasy is, the alcohol that makes you feel wild, a secret no one knows about you, and more. If this is "research" for the show, then that old adage "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is going to apply big-time.

Now, sadly, Tatum himself isn't planning on stripping (though he is teasing cameos—Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello, we're looking at you). However, he is going to be a major part of it every step of the way. “Magic Mike has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that,” Tatum said in a statement. “So while I won’t be on stage as Mike, Magic Mike Live Las Vegas is my vision, and I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want.” Considering Magic Mike XXL was the most shockingly feminist movie of the summer last year, we're expecting good things.

See you on opening night? From what it sounds like, we'll definitely keep our eyes peeled for Tatum sightings in the audience.
