The nominations for the 2015 Oscars were announced this morning, and no one is more surprised than the host himself, Neil Patrick Harris!

He posted a video of his reaction soon after the announcement was made, and like everyone else, he was expecting different results. His daughter Harper, however, seemed to be on point with her predictions! In the video Harris hands the adorable tots $20 after he lost an apparent bet!

"The Oscar nominations just came out this morning, and that can only mean one thing," he says in the video. "I just lost 20 bucks. Here you go, Harper."

The cutie graciously accepts her new cash and says, "Thank you!" Hey, if you're going to lose a bet at least it's to someone who is polite.

"I had my money on you, Sven Yorgen Finster," the 41-year-old How I Met Your Mother alum said in a defeated manner. "Best credit design of a foreign language film."

Although Harris looks a little on the downside after losing to his 4-year-old, we're sure he'll perk up just in time for his hosting gig. There's also another way to win back his money: win an Oscar pool! Just keep your eye out for your daughter, NPH.

He signed off his video with a growling sigh.

Although he didn't seem prepared in his Oscars "bet," Harris is making sure that he is prepared for his big gig, which is famous for its high-pressure stakes. Few hosts make it out unscathed by the critics, and Harris is well aware, but fortunately he has Emmy and Tony hosting duties under his belt.

"And then most of the show, it's all filled with losers," he told E! News. "Because out of the five nominees, only one wins. So as the show goes on, more and more of the people are unhappy...so that's kind of the game, is to try and figure out how to be fun and casual and confident and keep it moving and keep it a good show, regardless of whether you win or lose, that you're at least enjoying yourself for the evening."

Best of luck to everyone!
