The hosts of “The View” don’t care if the unsubstantiated dossier alleging that the Russian government is blackmailing Donald Trump is real. They’re pretending like it is.

After BuzzFeed published a 35-page document claiming that the Russian government has damaging information about Donald Trump — which he blasted as “fake news” Wednesday — Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hots had a field day.

“Now we can’t get into specifics,” Goldberg said, “but I do have to ask because he’s being showeredwith allegations right now, is this a golden opportunity for Democrats or will he be able to clean up these leaks?”

“We said they are unsubstantiated, but I do recall the days when they were saying Obama wasn’t an American — he’s a Muslim — or he’s part of the Taliban. Those weren’t substantiated. Those were fake news and yet they ran with it.”

“Well, we’re going to run with this, too,” Joy Behar cut in. “I’ve got my running shoes on.” (RELATED: WikiLeaks Blasts BuzzFeed For Publishing Unsubstantiated Claims About Trump’s Ties To Russia)

“So here’s the scenario,” she continued. “He becomes ‘president’ and the Russians can blackmail him about the boycotts, for example. So he lifts the sanctions ‘because otherwise we’re gonna get you, sucker.’ And that’s why there’s a problem.”

Then Jedediah Bila cut in.

“If any of this is true, and is found to be true — and the FBI is currently investigating it, they’re doing their job — this is very problematic because the allegations are there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” Bila said “And if you remember, a lot of people that opposed Hillary Clinton opposed her because they felt because of the email leak that she was potentially compromised.” (RELATED: Donald Trump Stuns Whoopi Goldberg)

“Now many of those people all of a sudden don’t have a problem with any of these stores,” she said. “You know what? Question everything right now.”

“For me, it doesn’t matter if this is true or not, and for this reason,” Sara Haines said. “I am not a proponent for fake news, but if for one second, Donald Trump finally gets the severity of letting a foreign power come in and now the story is against him, I think it would be worth it. Because right now, Russia is proving how easy it is to divide this country. You plant one seed and it goes like wildfire.” (RELATED: Whoopi Goldberg Thinks She Would Make A Better President Than Donald Trump)
