Suge Knight now faces life in prison after murder charges were filed Monday, this according to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office.
According to a statement released today by the L.A.D.A. Office, Knight “is charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, two counts of hit-and-run with an allegation that he committed a serious and violent felony while out on bail in another pending case.”
At the time of last Thursday’s incident, Knight was out on bail in a separate robbery case.
The complaint against Knight includes use of a deadly weapon and causing great bodily injury allegations. It also mentions that Knight has prior convictions, making this a third strike case.
If convicted, Knight faces up to life in state prison.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Knight is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
Knight was arrested Friday and charged with murder in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Los Angeles the day before. The accident occurred near the set of a promotional shoot for the upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.
