We've learned a lot about Jon Snow this season—that he can come back from the dead, that he looks excellent swaddled in furs, that he was born with a very furrowed brow. And yet we still don't know the King of the North's real name. Sure, R+L=J. But it's anyone's guess what the J stands for.

Which is why we have Reddit.

Claire Williams, a web designer and devoted Game of Thrones watcher, replayed a scene from the most recent episode "at least 50 times" and both with captions and without trying to lip-read the more or less silent communication between Lyanna and Ned Stark. She concluded that Jon is named Jaehaerys by moving her mouth while Lyanna spoke to see if they made the same shapes.

The name has some gravitas, according to Williams. "Jaehaerys I was the 4th Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne. He was known as 'the Wise,' 'The Conciliator,' and 'the Old King,'" she writes. "His long rule was prosperous and he was aided by his sister-wife Alysanne, who convinced Jaehaerys to expand the Night's Watch and granted them the land now known as the New Gift."

So, there you have it! And since Williams has gone to all this trouble, the least you could do is put her theory to the test. Watch the scene here:
