There's nothing quite like opening a fresh tube of lipstick. You twirl it up, revealing the color, then delicately swipe it on your lips. Just like that, you've got a gorgeous new look. But with the massive number of shades out there (Urban Decay alone debuted 100 new shades just this year!), it can seem impossible to find a fave. Well, America is here to do that for you.
In honor of National Lipstick Day on July 29, Amazon Beauty pulled some fascinating lipstick stats. For instance, New York City purchases the most lip care products out of any city in the U.S. And lip balm is actually purchased more often than lip gloss or lipstick. On top of those fun facts, Amazon released the top five favorites of lipstick lovers in the U.S. Here's what they look like (including Patina, the warm pink-ish nude color on the woman above).
Clearly, America's got a wide range of favorites, from a bright red by Maybelline to a delightful sweet rose hue from L'Oreal Paris. As long as you don't wear 'em all at once, you can't go wrong.
