The Hoverboard Is Real

This Might Just Be The Best Use Of $10,000 We've Ever Seen

If you’ve seen Back to the Future II (and III) than you’re already familiar with this bad boy. In fact, you may be thinking the exact same thing as us — FINALLY. That’s right, Hendo Hover (the company producing the Hoverboards) has a Kickstarter page set up, asking fans to help them bring this thing to the masses, and start making this a reality for all of us Marty McFly fanboys.

After watching that, one thing is very clear — this thing looks awesome. Something tells me Hendo Hover won't have any issues hitting their goal on this Kickstarter. The only downside of it all (unless you’re filthy rich)? The Hoverboard will set you back a cool $10,000 (only six of 10 are left). Though, for a fraction of that price ($300) you can get the Whitebox, a floating white box that has all the bits and pieces that a Hoverboard will have. Hendo Hover is selling these Whiteboxes as a way to inspire people to create their own hovering gadgets and to use the Hendo technology to create some unique toys of their own.

If all goes super well, Hendo will be unveiling the Hoverboard October 21, 2015. If you remember Back to the Future II as well as I do, that’s the date Marty McFly arrives in the future and rides one. Very clever, Hendo, verrry clever.

Head here if you want to support Hendo Hover and make the Hoverboard a reality, or if you want to read all about the technology behind it, you can do that, too.
