Dan Crenshaw slams Biden’s Day One agenda, claiming it doesn’t help working Americans

.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw went after President Biden’s Day One agenda, pointing out who he believed the new policies would actually benefit instead of people in the United States.

“Who this agenda helps,” Crenshaw posted on Twitter. “Paris Agreement – > China, European diplomats. Cancel Keystone -> Russian oligarchs. No wall -> illegal immigrants. Working class American priorities, small businesses reopening and recovering….nowhere to be found.”

Crenshaw was responding to an NBC report that laid out the new president’s agenda for his first day in office. Aside from the policies specifically pointed out by Crenshaw, Biden’s Day One plans included repealing former President Donald Trump’s travel ban, a mask mandate, extending the eviction freeze, announcing a new immigration plan, and extending the student loan pause.

Biden adviser Cedric Richmond said that Biden had no plans to “wait weeks” to get his agenda off the ground, promising instead to “hit the ground running” on Day One.

“Biden will sign more than a dozen executive actions Wednesday when he arrives at the White House after having been sworn in as the 46th president, including measures to rejoin the Paris Agreement on climate change, repeal Trump’s restrictions on travel from several Muslim-majority countries, stop construction of the Southern border wall and mandate wearing masks on federal property,” NBC News reported Wednesday.

Crenshaw has already begun to position himself as an opponent to the new administration, having criticized Biden for being “divisive” in response to Biden’s tweet claiming Black Lives Matter protesters would have been “treated very differently” than the Trump supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol.

“Not the time,” Crenshaw said in response to Biden’s tweet. “This is disgusting and divisive, not to mention hypocritical and false. You said you wanted to heal the country. Actions speak louder than words.”
