Mitchell graduate and Northwestern College junior Aaron Lemon picked up a pair of all-conference honors at the recent Great Plains Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Lemon was a member of the Northwestern 1,600-meter relay team that finished in third place. Lemon received an individual all-conference honor with a fourth place finish in the 600-meter run (1:21).
The meet concludes the indoor season for Northwestern. The Red Raiders will open the outdoor season on March 24-25 at the Wildcat Classic in Wayne, Nebraska.
Fossum, Juffer compete at Summit League meet
Mitchell's Christian Fossum and Wagner's Kathleen Juffer competed for the University of South Dakota at the recent Summit League swimming and diving championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Fossum's best finish was a 10th place showing in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.62. He also finished 14th in both the 400 individual medley (4:12.13) and the 200 backstroke (1:59.55).
Juffer's best finish was an eighth place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:05.29). She placed ninth in the 100 backstroke (57.52).
South Dakota concluded the Summit League Championship with the women in third for the second straight year. The men improved with a fourth-place finish after coming in fifth last year.
Kopfmann claims 800-meter run
South Dakota State University sophomore runner and Wessington Springs graduate Shyanne Kopfmann won the 800-meter run at the SDSU Last Chance meet at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Kopfmann finished with a time of 2:20.20. Kopfmann and the Jackrabbits will now host the The Summit League indoor championships Friday and Saturday at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
