Earlier this week, people with their eyes still connected to their brain screamed in disbelief at the results of a recent Public Policy Polling survey which concluded that more than half of all Republicans still believe President Barack Obama is a Muslim. In fact, a whopping 54 percent believe Obama is in fact a Muslim, while another 32 percent stated they were simply "not sure."
Aside from the worth-repeating fact that one's religious preferences (or lack thereof) should hold absolutely no weight when judging the performance of a president (or anyone), the figures proved that the persistent misinformation currently running wild through certain factions of the Republican party are pretty fucking scary.
