The City of Boston marked one year since the death of former Mayor Tom Menino.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh held a moment of silence at City Hall Friday afternoon.
Menino served more than 20 years before leaving office in January 2014.
After serving as city councilor, Menino became mayor in 1993 and was credited with revitalizing Boston's neighborhoods.
He was diagnosed with an advanced form of inoperable cancer, and died nearly 10 months later at age 71.
