Bruins backup goalie Anton Khudobin to miss three weeks with injury
Khudobin was re-signed this summer and has started two games this season.
The Bruins announced Tuesday that backup goalie Anton Khudobin will miss the next three weeks with an upper body injury.
In response, the team has recalled goalie Zane McIntyre from Providence on an emergency basis and assigned 23 year-old defensemen Rob O’Gara. The move comes just one day after the team recalled fellow AHL goalie and former first round pick Malcolm Subban.
The 22 year-old Subban is slated to start tonight in net against the Minnesota Wild according to coach Claude Julien.

Khudobin has already taken losses in the first two starts of his eighth NHL season, having allowed a whopping eight goals to the tune of an .849 save percentage.
McIntyre will back up Subban tonight, and returns to Boston carrying the best goals against average (0.44) and save percentage (.977) in the AHL in his second professional season. He joined the team for Tuesday’s morning skate and is available tonight.
The Bruins are currently 8th in the NHL’s young season, with just 13 goals scored against them through 5 games, though that number could rise rapidly with inexperienced netminders playing a bigger role.
