Last year, we wrote about how sneakers had become an integral part of worship amongst Muslim youth, but you may want to think twice before bringing your pricey pairs to prayer.

DNA Info reports that a 30-year-old Brooklyn Heights man was praying at the Masjid Dawood mosque earlier this month when a thief absconded with the man's wallet and Air Jordan sneakers. According to the police report, the thief (pictured in a surveillance still above) took the victim's wallet out of his jacket and laced up the Jordans before fleeing and leaving his old shoes behind.

Police say that the suspect was last spotted wearing a hooded sweatshirt, long pants, and the Air Jordan sneakers belonging to the victim, although it's not specified exactly which Jordan model was stolen.
