According to George Washington University‘s Task Force on Access and Success, the University will no longer require students to take the SAT or ACT, in order to be accepted into the school. Students applying for the 2016-2017 school year will have the option to disclose test scores or skip the section on the application and leave it blank.

The committee says that high school grades and coursework will still be the determining factor in who they accept, but less of an emphasis will be put on tests that many think are culturally biased and don’t really give a true representation on intellect.
