Brooklyn Nets Among Cheapest Teams To Watch Live In The Nation

A new study found the Brooklyn Nets rank high for game-day affordability, if not for wins.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn pays a high price for its chicness, but there is a service you can get in Fort Greene cheaper than in almost any other city — a live NBA game.

That’s because the Brooklyn Nets are one of the 10 cheapest basketball teams to enjoy in the entire league, a new study has found.

The Barclays Center's home team have not garnered a reputation for success, ranking 15 out of 15 in the 2017 Eastern Conference and 14 and out 15 in 2016 — but Brooklyn Nets tickets and merchandise come cheap, according to the CheapTickets.com survey.

The survey added the prices of each of the 30 NBA team’s tickets, jerseys, beers, sodas, hot dogs and parking to calculate a total “game day cost” which they ranked — the Brooklyn Nets came in 10th at $79.87 per game.

Brooklyn Nets jerseys are the fifth cheapest in the league at $51.87 and tickets are the 10th cheapest at an average $51.87 a pop, the study found.

But this is Brooklyn, so of course the craft beer runs a staggering $8.50 per drink — the ninth highest price in the league — and the $6 hot dogs are the seventh worst deal in the league, according to the study.

The Brooklyn Nets are an especially good deal when compared to the New York Knicks who have the second-most expensive game day price at about $186 — tickets cost around $144, parking costs $30 and jerseys cost about $76, the study found.

The cheapest games are in Salt Lake City, Charlotte and Orlando.
