Microsoft has finally made its top Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 models available to buy outside of the US.
The Windows 10 maker’s hybrid laptop range received its latest refresh at the end of October. However, since then, you’ve only been able to buy the top 1TB model in the US.
That’s just changed some eight months on. From today, the 1TB Surface Pro 4 and 1TB Surface Book can can bought in ten additional territories: Australia, Austria, China, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Switzerland and the UK.
Germany and Japan will follow “later this month,” but presumably Microsoft means later in July. Meanwhile, the 1TB Surface Pro 4 will arrive in Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands some time this summer.
In addition to a massive 1TB of storage, the two new Surface tiers come packing Core i7 processors and 16GB of RAM. They’re top of the line.
Naturally, you’ll have to pay the price for such range-topping delights. The 1TB Surface Book costs an eye-watering £2,649, while the 1TB Surface Pro 4 will set you back a marginally less painful £2,199. You’ll still need to stump up for a keyboard on top of that, though.

Either way, you’ll be getting the best versions of two of the best hybrid devices on the market.
Of course, we could be just a few months away from the launch of the Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2. Something to consider.
