Qantas and Virgin Australia allow smartphone usage throughout flights - video

Qantas and Virgin Australia say passengers can now use smartphones and tablets throughout flights after a regulator relaxed a ban on electronic devices. Mobile phones still cannot be used to make calls or send texts in the air. The airlines said they relaxed the rules after Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority followed a similar ruling from the US Federal Aviation Administration in 2013.
