Rachel McAdams Says Doctor Strange Won't Be Like Other Marvel Films

Prepare for something strange

If Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy have proven anything, it’s that Marvel is willing to loosen up the creativity reigns on its wishful filmmakers and allow these projects to boldly go beyond the status quo. Doctor Strange will be no exception, if you are to believe what Rachel McAdams is saying.

While attending the Gotham Independent Film Awards, she told MTV that the film is"definitely not going to be like any of the other [Marvel] films.” In accordance with its title, the movie will have a strange visual feel, JoBlo reports

I mean, I just love the director, I met with Scott [Derrickson] and loved his vision, he was so passionate. And the opportunity to work with Benedict was kind of a no-brainer. And Marvel makes amazing films, so it was a complete package.

It’s unclear what her role in the film will be but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased that her character will act as the audience’s eyes “to a certain extent.” Doctor Strange heads to theaters on November 4, 2016.
