It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Neil Patrick Harris' twins Gideon and Harper got into the holiday spirit by singing "Jingle Bells" as they decorated the family Christmas tree. The How I Met Your Mother star captured the cute caroling on camera and shared it with his Instagram followers Wednesday. "Yay! [David Burtka] is back home, and the family all together!" Harris wrote in the caption. "Time to trim us a tree! #trim #carols #JingleFeels."

So, where had Burtka been?

"Just wrapped my final day on [American Horror Story: Freak Show]. What a dream job!" the 39-year-old star tweeted Tuesday night. "Awesome crew and watching Jessica Lange work is pure magic! #solucky."

The newlyweds' 4-year-old children looked especially festive Wednesday, as Gideon wore a sweater featuring Olaf from Frozen and Harper modeled a striped red onesie and a garland headband.

It's no surprise that the twins are counting the day until Santa Claus and his sleigh arrive bearing presents, given how much Harris loves the holiday. He starred in the 1998 TV movie The Christmas Wish, the 2005 TV movie The Christmas Blessing and the 2011 theatrical comedy A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. Last year, the 41-year-old actor hosted the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, which aired on ABC. In November, Harris also narrated the annual "Candlelight Processional" at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.

Harris and Burtka welcomed their twins via surrogate in October 2010, but neither wanted to know who the biological father is. As Harris recently explained during Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People special, he still has "no interest" in finding out, saying, "We are their parents and I love them implicitly."

Still, Harris said they have suspicions about who the birth father might be "based on their behavior."

Recalling the conception process, the Academy Award host said, "We inserted one of my sperm and one of David's sperm into two eggs with the hope that they would both take, just because we both wanted to be dads biologically." The A Million Ways to Die in the West star added, "Both took, miraculously."
