Hear that? That's the sound of hearts shattering across the social media-sphere. If you listen closely, you can also hear the idea of true love dying.

There are not enough heartbreak emojis or crying emoticons in the world to adequately convey how depressed the fans of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are right now. Bennifer 2.0 has officially called it quits, releasing a joint statement that serves as little relief to the pain piercing the hearts of those who shipped them for the past decade.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the former couple said in a statement to E! News Tuesday. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

10 years of Ben and Jen and suddenly, it's dunzo! How does one take this news? How does one react without completely curling up into the fetal position while holding your Jen Loves Ben mug?

Simple. You accept that love is now dead and you will never believe in any magical ever again.*

(*this according to people on Twitter right now).

And get this! The proverbial dust hasn't even settled yet and people are already begging for the original Bennifer, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, to reunite. Too soon, you guys! TOO. SOON.

Little tip: If your mom hasn't texted to ask you about Ben and Jen's divorce yet, it's too soon.

This is a bummer, so let's all huddle together to mourn the end of this Hollywood couple. Pour one out for Ben and Jen, you guys.

And hey, love isn't really dead. Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are still together, right? RIGHT?!

We might have gone mad due to heartbreak. Please respect our privacy during this time.
