Hempstead Town Awards $25,000 Grant To Levittown Organization

The grantee, the YES Community Counseling Center, helps families in crisis.

Hempstead Town Supervisor Anthony J. Santino and Councilman Gary Hudes recently presented a $25,000 grant check to the YES Community Counseling Center of Levittown. The non-profit organization offers school-based social work programs, drug/alcohol counseling and treatment, and a host of other important services to the community.

The grant was distributed through the town’s Department of Planning and Economic Development, and the monies have been secured through federal Community Development Block Grant funding.

“Supporting programs for the youth of our communities is crucial for the future of our township,” Santino said. “YES Community Counseling Center has offered vital services to both children and adults in Levittown for decades and we’re happy to assist the group with its endeavors.”
