‘Trainspotting’ author Irvine Welsh told NME he thought if Liam and Noel Gallagher can “get to the point” where they can stand each other, “they could really do some great stuff again”.

“WHAT! & I’ve died!” tweeted Frances Bean Cobain when it was reported that the Gallagher brothers had reached a “gentlemen’s agreement” to reunite.

We’re pretty sure Ryan Adams would welcome a reunion after he made his feelings about Oasis quite clear after he posted on Instagram: “I miss this band. They fucking mattered. Sigh It’s now a world full of a bunch of cargo dad pants bands with soulless, bullshit lyrics and about the level of danger you might feel if you mixed hot fries with ginger ale. Fuck that”. Quite.

Perhaps he was trying to bait them like the good old days, but Blur bassist Alex James is also among those waiting eagerly for the world to be mad fer it once more. “I really hope Oasis get back together again,” he said. “I’d love them to support us.”

Pharrell Williams harbours dreams of working with both Noel and Liam so why wouldn’t he want to work with them at the same time?

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy lamented Oasis’ loss when the band split up in 2009. He said at the time: “It won’t be the same without them. It’s a real shame. I think they should patch it up and get back together. We’re going to miss them.”
